How Fine Art Photography Editions Work
When you purchase a fine art photograph from our collection, you’re investing in a limited edition piece. Here’s what that means:
1. Limited Editions: Each photograph is part of a specific edition, meaning only a limited number of prints are made. Once the edition is sold out, no more prints of that image will be produced. This ensures that your piece is rare and unique.
2. Edition Numbers: Each print is numbered (e.g., 1/10, 2/10) to indicate its place in the edition. The first number represents the print’s position in the edition, while the second number shows how many prints will ever be made. For example, a print marked “3/10” means it’s the third print in an edition of ten.
3. Artist Proofs (AP): Occasionally, when an edition sells out, we may offer Artist Proof (AP) prints. These are limited prints set aside by the artist for personal use or future sale, ensuring exclusivity for collectors.
4. Unique One-of-a-Kind Works: In some cases, we offer unique, one-off prints that will never be replicated. These pieces are truly one-of-a-kind and a fantastic opportunity for collectors seeking something singular.
5. Certificate of Authenticity: Every print comes with a certificate of authenticity, ensuring its provenance and value as a genuine work of art.
Each edition is printed to the highest standards using the finest materials, ensuring that your piece will last for generations.
